The dashed line is the gap between the two Doria Pamphiljs. One end is a paid private collection on a shopping street; the other is a free park with joggers and umbrella pines. People book the first when they meant the second more often than you would think, which is why that page exists.

Not this place: the free park
- Villa Doria Pamphili (public park)Free, open daily, and roughly 5 km away by road — across the Tiber and up towards the Gianicolo. It is Rome’s largest public park and there is no picture gallery in it. The pin sits in the middle of 184 hectares, so the nearest gate is closer than it looks.
